Competition rules

The competition is open to pianists of all nationalities.
Pieces must be played from memory excepted for contemporary works*.

The age limit is 32.
Lots drawn : 12th June 2019 at 4.30pm
(Absence will lead to elimination).
Qualifying auditions : 13th - 14th June 2019.
Final : 15th June 2019.
Awards ceremony : 15th June 2019 at 7.00 pm 
(candidates must attend in evening dress).

Qualifying auditions

One Etude (excluding Debussy)

One movement of a sonata by Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven or Schubert (which can be played again for the final audition).

A work by a French composer
from the 19th century or later.*

15th June 2019

Final audition
maximum of 45 minutes 

Competitors to present an open programme comprising a maximum of four pieces* from different periods and styles*.

*Pieces presented during the qualifying auditions may not be played again,
except the classical sonata in its complete version.

Members of the jury are expert pianists with an outstanding musical reputation. They are chosen by Anne QUEFFELEC.
Their reputation, competence and integrity contribute to maintaining the excellence of this competition.

Concert with orchestra in Hungary arranged by Károly Mocsári.

Auditions are open to the public.
The public is allowed to enter and leave between performances.
Silence is required during each audition.

Price: 15€/day - 20€/final - 35 € for the whole competition.
